In loving memory of Roy (Bob) Victor Vowels born August 16, 1925 in North Hampshire, England, passed away peacefully with family on June 23, 2019 in Vancouver, BC. Left to carry on Roy’s memory are his loving family and friends: Nona and Colleen Carpenter, Nephew Walter Geering/Bea and their family: Cherie/Brad- Bianca, Walter Jr. /Nita- Walter Victor; Elaine Geering and her family Kim/Curtis – Justin, Morgan and Austin, Sheldon/Amy – Kayla, Tiffany – Hope, Sidney and Jorrie, Blair/Michelle, Rhonda/Jodi – Johnny and Mandy, Jason/Lanette - Justin, Cassandra, Shaena, Samara, and Breana, and many great grand nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents Clara and William Vowles, his sisters Audrey Codron and Eileen Geering, nephew George Geering, and great grand-niece Jasmyn. Roy was best known for his love of music, neighbourhood jams, and his talent for fixing things. He was an avid bird lover and was devoted to caring for the birds and wildlife in his community. He was a veteran of WWII, having seen action overseas. He was also a traveller and a lover of life; an intelligent man that had a fantastic sense of humour and little tolerance for fuss or bother. He will be greatly missed.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Roy’s care team at Youville Residence. They cared for Uncle Roy with love, compassion, and true caring that made him and his family feel a part of their community. We were reassured that he was truly loved and valued at Youville.
