Obituary for Peter Andrew Bideshi
October 24, 1960 – March 11, 2023
It is with great sadness that the family of Peter Bideshi announce his unexpected passing on March 11, 2023 in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Peter is survived by his mother Monica, father Ralph, brothers David and Ian, and his sister, Sharon (David) and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Peter was raised in Vancouver’s Westside, attending Our Lady of Perpetual Help Elementary and Lord Byng and University Hill Secondary schools. Peter lived his entire life in Vancouver and was a true Vancouverite - enjoying skiing, running, cycling, swimming, lifeguarding. As Peter said many times, he preferred "to be outside".
He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his bright smile and easy laughter, his athleticism, his love of music and his resilience. Peter was insightful, wise, kind and sensitive; he was keenly aware of those who had less than himself - he was loved and cared about by many who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to those charities in Vancouver assisting people experiencing challenges in their lives.
Prayers will be held at 7 PM on March 30, 2023 and the Funeral Mass at 11 AM on March 31, 2023, both taking place at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 2465 Crown Street, Vancouver.
