Obituary for Robert John Calder
May 9, 1943 - June 22, 2026
Rob (or Bob) was the oldest son of wonderful parents, Betty and Jack. He was a devoted husband of 58 years to Bonnie, loving father to Alison (Ben), Sheila (Justin) and proud grandfather to Jamieson, Elliott, Sasha and Charlize. Also loved by his brothers, Bruce (Wendy) and David (Kimberly). He had a large extended family and many friends and colleagues.
Rob was a much respected mentor, teacher, Vice Principal and Principal with the Vancouver School Board for 34 years. He was also a professional musician, sports lover, avid golfer, keen traveller and supporter of the arts.
Rob, you taught us all that with faith, trust and pixie dust, we could fly. We know you are soaring now into your next adventure.
