Obituary for Mrs. Chui Lee King Quon
October 5, 1924 – August 15, 2026
Mrs. Chui Lee King Quon was born on October 5, 1924, in Nam Village, Duhu Town, Taishan County, Guangdong Province, China.
At the age of eight, she moved to Macau. While attending Mandarin language classes there, she met the love of her life, Mr. George Chui Wah Cheung. As they came to know and cherish one another, their relationship blossomed, and in 1948, they were married and began a remarkable life together. Their marriage was blessed with five children — Lucilla, Lyman, Shirley, Judy, and May.
In 1960, the family moved to Hong Kong, and in 1969, they immigrated to Saskatchewan, Canada, where Mr. and Mrs. Chui built a life together in the restaurant business. Side by side, they worked tirelessly with perseverance, and dedication. Mrs. Chui devoted herself wholeheartedly to creating a loving home and raising their children with care, guidance, and strong values. In time, each of their children established families and lives of their own, bringing her the great joy of seeing the family grow and flourish across generations.
After retiring in 1985, Mr. and Mrs. Chui moved to Vancouver, where they enjoyed many wonderful years surrounded by their children and their spouses, 10 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. These years brought them the happiness of a close and loving family and the precious gift of watching new generations grow.
In late 2023 and early 2024, Mrs. and Mr. Chui respectively became residents of a fine senior care home in Vancouver, where they were once again able to share their daily lives together as devoted companions.
In November 2024, surrounded by his children and grandchildren, Mr. Chui peacefully completed his extraordinary journey of more than a century. After a lifetime devoted to his family, he passed away with his loved ones by his side.
On August 15, 2026, Mrs. Chui peacefully joined her beloved husband. In her final moments, her children remained close beside her, holding her hands, while her grandchildren and son-in-law surrounded her in quiet prayer and loving remembrance. She passed peacefully at the remarkable age of 101, bringing to a close a long and deeply meaningful life.
Throughout her lifetime, Mrs. Chui fulfilled with extraordinary devotion her roles as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She experienced the rare blessing of a long life surrounded by generations of descendants and leaves behind a family strengthened by the love, sacrifices, wisdom, and values she gave so generously.
Her life’s work can be seen in the family she nurtured, the generations she guided, and the countless memories she created. Her devotion was given freely and without expectation, and the blessings of her life will continue through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Her legacy of love, strength, perseverance, and devotion to family will remain forever in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Though her remarkable journey of more than a century has come to an end, the light of her life will continue to shine through the generations that follow.
May she rest peacefully, reunited with her beloved husband, after a life richly lived and abundantly blessed.
徐李瓊娟女仕1924年10月5日出生於廣東省台山縣都斛鎮南村，於8歲待移居澳門，後於澳門就讀國語學習班時認識一生至愛的如意郎君徐華璋先生、相互瞭解，於1948年共結連理，婚後育有一子四女，長女秀雯，兒子君榮，三女秀怡，四女秀明，五女雪明。後於1960年移居香港，1969年移民至加拿大沙省，經營餐飲事業，夫唱婦隨，克勤克儉 ，持家有道，督導子女身心健康成長，日後各有所成，開支散葉，其樂融融。
在1985年光榮退休，移居溫哥華，與兒女媳婿和10 名孫兒孫女和7名曾孫們共享天倫。
徐老太和徐老先生於2023年末和2024年初相繼入住溫哥華的華宮安老院，共享夫唱婦隨之樂 ，2024年11月徐老先生在兒女孫兒們的陪伴下完結其光輝歲月，京壽一百有餘的人瑞年華 ，壽終正寢，瀟灑完結其人生之路！
於2026年8月15日，徐李瓊娟老太在兒女們在身旁左右握手相伴，兒孫和女婿在身旁默默祝禱，安詳乘鶴西遊，完成其人妻人母和祖母的豐功偉業，享嵩壽一百零一歲有餘的子孫滿堂,福壽全歸的一生！
