Obituary for Celia Margarita Garduno

We express with great sorrow the passing away of our beloved mother Celia Margarita Garduno, 95, on may 26, 2026 in Surrey,BC. surrounded by her family.
Celia Margarita Garduno was born on January 22 ,1931 daughter of Salvador Ahumada and Sabina Zavala in the beautiful city of Guadalajara ,Mexico. She grew up among 8 siblings. Being the daughter of a medical doctor, relocation within Jalisco state was a common thing in her younger years.
While working in Transportes Aereos de Jalisco in Puerto Vallarta, she met our father Lorenzo and moved to Mexico city.
In 1977 our family immigrated to Vancouver,Canada and started a new chapter in her life.
One of her legacies, was her devotion to the catholic faith, Celia was fully involved in activities and ministries in the Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, with the Hispanic Community in Vancouver . She always had a positive ,cheerful disposition and gave 100% in everything she did.
It is our last goodbye to her kind smile, generous heart ,courageous beautiful green eyes that will be missed immensely.
Celia is survived by her sons Alfredo and Mario and her Grandchildren (Teresita, Patricia, Roberto and Javier), sisters ( Bertha,Delia,Teresa), Brothers ( Salvador , Mario).
Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and she will always remain in our hearts.
Rest in peace, our beloved mother Celia.

Con profundo pesar, comunicamos el fallecimiento de nuestra querida madre, Celia Margarita Garduno, de 95 años, el 26 de mayo de 2026 en Surrey, Columbia Británica, rodeada de su familia.
Celia Margarita Garduno nació el 22 de enero de 1931, hija de Salvador Ahumada y Sabina Zavala, en la hermosa ciudad de Guadalajara, México. Creció rodeada de ocho hermanos. Siendo hija de un médico, la reubicación dentro del estado de Jalisco era algo común en su juventud.
Mientras trabajaba en Transportes Aéreos de Jalisco en Puerto Vallarta, conoció a nuestro padre Lorenzo y se mudó a la Ciudad de México.
En 1977 emigró a Vancouver, Canadá, y comenzó un nuevo capítulo en su vida.
Uno de sus legados fue su devoción a la fe católica. La querida Celia participaba activamente en las actividades y ministerios de la Parroquia Nuestra Señora de los Dolores, con la comunidad Hispana de Vancouver. Siempre con una actitud positiva, alegre y dando el 100% en todo lo que hacia.
Es nuestro último adiós a su amable sonrisa, su generoso corazón, sus valientes y hermosos ojos verdes que echaremos muchísimo de menos.
A Celia le sobreviven sus hijos Alfredo y Mario y sus nietos (Teresita, Patricia, Roberto y Javier), sus hermanas (Bertha, Delia, Teresa) y sus hermanos (Salvador, Mario).
Su vida fue una bendición, su recuerdo un tesoro, y siempre permanecerá en nuestros corazones.
Descansa en paz, nuestra querida madre Celia.
