Obituary for Josefina 'Jo' Jurock
December 19, 1942 – June 13, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Josefina “Jo” Jurock at the age of 83.
Born in the Philippines on December 19, 1942, Jo lived a remarkable life defined by faith, family, generosity, curiosity, and a deep love of people. Nearly 58 years ago, she married her beloved husband, Ozzie, beginning a partnership that would take them on adventures across the world while building a loving family and a life rich in friendship and purpose.
Jo was a devoted mother to Marc and Liesl, a proud grandmother to Max, Fraser, Luna, Lucas, and Elena, and a cherished sister to Victoria. She touched countless lives with her kindness, wisdom, warmth, and unwavering encouragement.
Jo believed in living fully and embraced the family motto: “Live Life Large.” She inspired those around her to dream bigger, love deeper, and create environments where people could grow into their own future best selves. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives she enriched.
A Funeral Mass will be held on June 25, 2026. A Celebration of Life will follow at a later date, with details to be announced.
