February 6, 1946 – March 13, 2022
On March 13th, 2022, the world lost a Great One. Ivan Lauzon (né Yvan Pierre Lauzon) age 76; devoted husband of Chrissy and proud father of Sandi left this world to be with his best four-legged friend Rufus. Ivan was born in St. Clet, Quebec. He lived and worked in Montreal, Ottawa, Calgary and Vancouver, making long lasting friendships across the country. His daily phone calls will be greatly missed by his twin brother Yves, and his loss will be felt by extended family and friends across Canada, and in Arizona where he spent the winter months in his retirement.
Ivan was an avid Harley rider and he and Chrissy spent their retirement riding their bikes in numerous charity bike rides in BC and Arizona. Ivan loved football (the Bears) and hockey (the Habs) but his favourite hockey player was his daughter. Ivan was a natural athlete, a skillful coach, an animal lover, and a great friend to many.
Ivan loved being part of a team. The Montreal Rebels, Calgary Kinsmen, and the Sun Lakes Motorcycle Club were groups to which he proudly belonged. Anyone close to Ivan would know his favourite group was the Beach Boys and that he loved the golden oldies. Ivan had a wonderful sense of humour, was generous and kind, and collected new friends wherever he went.
Chrissy and Sandi were the loves of his life, and he would want everyone to know that “It’s ok, it’s alright.”
