Obituary for Sandra Mary Leaver (née Caddick)
May 20, 1955 – April 16, 2026
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Sandra Mary Leaver (née Caddick) on April 16, 2026, surrounded by family, at the age of 70. Sandra will be dearly missed by her husband Steve, her son Ryan (Emma), daughter Jessica (Kika), grandson Liam, siblings Debbie and Brian, and her nieces and nephews, Leena, Kaja, Jennie, Matt, Meghan and Nicole. Sandra was predeceased by her parents, John (Jack) and Mary Caddick.
Sandra was a driven professional, travelling the world as part of the global Nortel M&A team, where she led Human Resources initiatives. While working full-time, she studied in the evenings and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Law in 1999. She concluded her career at Nortel after nearly 22 years.
Sandra loved nature walks and being part of her “fresh air family.” She was an incredible host and spent her free time working on house projects, gardening, and enjoying good food and wine. She loved music, dogs (especially golden retrievers), Christmas and Halloween, and was a competitive player of pool, darts, and cards. Sandra was also a skilled seamstress; her last piece being her “super granny” cape, which she made to accompany her grandson Liam trick-or-treating.
Her family is deeply grateful for the exceptional care she received from the North Shore Hospice. Sandra requested that there be no funeral service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Sandra's memory to the North Shore Hospice or the Progressive Supranuclear Palsy Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated.
