Obituary for Patricia Anne Lee (nee Burton)

Jully 20, 1946 – September 1, 2023

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beautiful mom, nanny and sister Paticia (Pat) Lee.

After a long battle with Alzheimer’s Pat passed away on Sept. 1 at Suncreek Village with her devoted daughter by her side. Pat is survived by her loving children Bill Francis (Danica) and Teresa (Terri) Francis, her treasured grandchildren Matt D’archangelo (Anastasia) and Rachelle Francis as well as her siblings Charlie Burton (Abby), Jack Burton (Ann), half siblings Dale, Donna and Debbie Sweeney. Pat was predeceased by her parents Percy Burton and Marie Sweeney.

Pat was born in Richmond, BC and lived much of her life in Burnaby, BC. She worked at Burnaby Hospital for over 20 years before taking an early retirement to care for her father. She was much loved by her co-workers and the residents of ECU 2. In 2006 she moved to Surrey where she lived until her passing.

Our mom brought so much joy to the lives of her family, friends and former co-workers. She truly loved being silly and having fun. My brother and I along with our children shared in many of these silly moments. She was also an incredibly generous and loving human, qualities she passed on to all of us. Even though she spent many years apart from her son Bill he loved and missed her every single day and he shares a special message with her today “No more pain mumbles, just freedom under God's grace.”

We'll miss her love and devotion, her love for her children and grandchildren was beyond measure. We do believe though she has left this world and the chains of her disease she will forever walk beside us.

Rest easy mama, until we meet again.
