Obituary for Kevin Lory Olsen
March 16, 1956 – February 27, 2026
It is with the heaviest of hearts to inform, that Kevin Lory Olsen, born March 16 1956 has passed peacefully on the morning of February 27 2026.
Kevin started selling vacuum cleaners door to door before taking a commission sales position with Sears in 1976 staying for 19 years. He quit his job for just 4 rentals and over 30 years built a successful Container Company, Insta-Space Storage and Global Container Corp until selling in August 2025.
He was intelligent and able to do anything that he put his mind to. He loved technology, politics, woodworking, piano playing, anything Tesla related and his Model X. He collected vintage 1980 Glastron Carlson boats. He shared his love of snow skiing and lake time with the grandchildren and loved watching them have fun. In the last years, he loved spending time at home and working in the garage with his woodworking projects. He will be missed.
Kevin is survived by his loving Wife of 49 years, Muriel Olsen; proud of his children,Jennifer Faccin (Steven),Jamie Daley(Steve)and Jorden Olsen(Stephanie);his special grandchildren,Lily,Orville, Piper,Mason,Sterling,Bryar and Ada. Also leaving sisters Karen(Del),Susan(Al), brother Brad (Janice), nieces and nephews, Mother-in-law Arlene Wyenberg, Uncle Keith Olsen (Ruth) and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Dale and Marjorie Olsen and Auntie Gloria Baarts(Alex).
A Celebration of Life will be held in April 2026, a date to be confirmed.
