Obituary for Carol Ann Passas
October 12, 1948 – August 15, 2026
The indomitable spirit of Carol Ann Passas was felt by all who had the pleasure and joy of knowing her. She lived her life in running shoes, always on the move, powered by endless energy, heartfelt compassion and vast optimism. Born in Toronto in 1948, she spent her life caring for those around her. Devoted wife to John, beloved mother to Michael (Allison), Jennifer and Andrew (Steph), world’s greatest Nana to Nova, Alder and Rooney, and loving sister to Patrice and predeceased brother Glenn.
She spent the second half of her life in the Lower Mainland of BC where she loved to run, cook, knit, read and paddleboard on the ocean. Her later years were spent going on adventures with her grandchildren and pet sitting, which she adored. Her respect and kindness to every animal she met was a constant throughout her life and foundational to who she was as a person.
Carol passed peacefully in Vancouver on August 15, 2026 surrounded by her family. She will be deeply missed. The memory of her laugh, funny stories, and profound love of her family will be with us always. A celebration of life will be held in the summer of 2027.
