February 8, 1955 – January 24, 2022
With God’s Grace, Charles (Chuck) Puffer passed away peacefully in his sleep. Predeceased by mother Violet, father Don, sister Donna and brother Steve. He is survived by his sister Bonnie, son Glen with wife Amanda, daughter Julie, four grandchildren and eight nieces and nephews.
Chuck was born and grew up in New Westminster until he married and moved with wife Sandra to Aldergrove to raise a family. Shortly after finishing school, Chuck started a career with CN Railroad. He worked with CN for over 30 years with the Journeyman’s Ticket in steel fabrication. Divorce and health issues had him return to a single life in New Westminster.
Camping, fishing trips and family gatherings were some of his treasured moments in life. He loved nature and frequented the Wildlife Sanctuaries around the city. When needed He was always generous and giving with family and friends. His sense of humour leaned toward the sarcastic “Ding ding ding, tell her what she won, Johnny!“. But the staff at New Vista Care Facility knew how to handle this sometimes grumpy teddy bear with such patience and care for over four years.
Enjoy your reunion with the family Chuck. Hey, You’re Beautiful!
