Obituary for Sabina Ruggiero
August 14, 1946 – August 11, 2026
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Sabina Ruggiero. She passed peacefully on August 11, 2026 at the age of 79. Sabina was born in Bari, Puglia, Italy. She was predeceased by her parents Vincenzo and Anna. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Michele; her daughters, Mercedes & Roy and Lisa & Giancarlo, along with her five grandchildren whom she adored, Janessa (Joey), Alexia (Cameron), Giordana (Matteo), Massimo (Alivia) and Sebastiano. She had the greatest joy of having two great-granddaughters Giada and Aurora. She also leaves her five siblings Carmela (Favillo), Mary, Silvana (Mauro), Mimmo and Marisa (Franco). Her two sister-in-laws Damiana (Tony) and Palma (Ben) as well as several nieces and nephews and other relatives here and in Italy.
Prayers and visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at 7:00 pm at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 315 Walker Street, Coquitlam. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at Our Lady of Fatima Church. Private entombment for family to follow.
