Janis Lorraine Tayler born July 12, 1947 in Edmonton Alberta, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 11, 2026 at the Burnaby General Hospital after a brave and valiant battle with cancer.
Janis is pre-deceased by her parents Maud and George Tayler, her brothers Dennis and Gary. Janis is survived by her children son Brian daughters Rhonda and Bonnie (Dave) grandchildren Mitchell and Tamara and great grandchildren Landon and Cheyenne. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces nephews and her dear sister in law Terry.
Janis had a long and successful career in the film industry. One of the original Teamsters local 155 since January of 1988 previously local 213.
She was beloved by her enormous film family in every department as well as many A list award winning stars who would request her as their driver each time they filmed. On behalf of the family we would like to extend our thanks and gratitude to the care givers in the palliative ward at Burnaby General Hospital for their incredibly supportive kind empathetic care of our mother.
A celebration of life will be announced in the future.
