Obituary for Sara Vergis
December 2, 1937 – November 8, 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sara (Kunjumol) Vergis, born in Kerala, India. She peacefully left this world on November 8, 2023 at the age of 84.
Sara is survived by her devoted husband of almost 65 years and her beloved daughters, Anita and Sarah, her son-in-law Sut and granddaughter Kiran. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Sara had a passion for gardening and Japanese flower arranging, and she found joy in sharing her garden and beautiful creations with those she welcomed into her home. She expressed her love though her delicious cooking, providing a feast for family and friends gathered around her table. Sara also enjoyed spending time with friends, playing cards, and welcoming new acquaintances into her circle.
Her faith was an important part of her life and she was a devout and dedicated member of her church. Sara’s kindness, warmth, and gentle nature touched the lives of many, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion.
She will be remembered fondly and missed dearly by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace, and may her memory live on in the hearts of those that loved her.
