It is with heavy hearts we are saddened to announce the passing of a mom, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and incredible friend to so many.

Maureen Jane Walters (nee Boyle) was born in Vancouver on March 15, 1956 and passed away peacefully on March 24, 2024 after a short stay in hospice care. She is survived by her two sons Jeremy and Michael Walters, brother Jeff (Sandie) Boyle, sons Ryan (Jessica) Boyle and Scott Boyle, sister Joanne Galbraith, aunt Marion Boyle, uncle Don Beggs, along with many cousins and extended family members. Maureen was predeceased by both parents Denis and Norma Boyle.

Maureen dedicated her life to raising her boys, she always enjoyed family gatherings, loved volunteer work that included the 2010 Winter Olympics and the 2014 Tim Hortons Brier. Maureen had a passion for travel of any kind and was lucky enough to visit a few places to include Ecuador and Galapagos, London, Mexico, Florida and Alaska.

The whippet community was a very big part of her life, enjoying seasonal race meets, national events, but most importantly the joy she felt with all the friendships she developed and cherished over the years.
