Obituary for Christina Jone Yun Yee
April 10, 1982 – April 23, 2026
Christina was born in Vancouver on April 10, 1982. As both the eldest child and grandchild of the Yee family, she may have been small in stature, but she was a force to be reckoned with.
Known affectionately as “Turtle”, Christina formed deep, enduring friendships. She met others with warmth, humour, and a belief in their potential, offering guidance with honesty and kindness.
She loved the world and explored it widely, later sharing that same wonder with her sons, Austen and Keaton. Being their mother was her greatest joy, and she filled their lives with curiosity, adventure, and love.
Christina faced her breast cancer diagnosis in 2022 with her unique blend of humour, fortitude, and grace. She embodied her mantra, “never give up”, to the very end.
She is profoundly missed by her husband, Spencer; her children, Austen and Keaton; her parents, Polly and John; her siblings, Katannya and Ryan; and all who were touched by her generous spirit, amongst her relatives, friends, and colleagues.
